EKT Study Results Presented at SITE 201 Conference
Academic project partners from Spain, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Austria presented the results of the EKT study at the distinguished international SITE 2021 Conference, March 29-Apr 2, 2021.
The study explored the need to innovate in Initial Teacher Education to support pre-service teachers during their school placement and sustain co-operation between multiple actors involved in school placement. It introduced the online environment and e-learning solution the EKT project is currently developing and focused on whether this EKT platform, as built by the project technical partners, provides adequate support for the actors involved in school placement.
The study results, although limited due to the early stage of the project and restrictions to participation due the pandemic are encouraging and will be consolidated and expanded in the later phases of EKT.
